| Welcome to the perfins pages. |
| "In Romania the use of perfins was permitted in 1891
(Buletinul telegrafo-postal p. 464) and introduced on January 1, 1892." "The earliest users were certainly the National Bank (B.N.R.), the daily paper Universul (U) and some commercial enterprises like Appel. Most banks and industrial-commercial firms used perfins between 1919-1930, the fewest during WW!! and after up to 1953, when they dissapeared, altough there is no evidence that the above permission was voided. The very last two patterns belong to Radio Romania and the daily Romania Libera, found on Scott 929." Mi 1431 (1953 Arta populara Romanesca, 20B) Lazlo Eros |
